Aviation Institution of the Year 2016 & 2017

ITTI made history at the maiden National Aviation Awards in 2016, held under the theme: “Recognising the cream of Ghana’s Aviation Industry.” Endorsed by the Ministry of Transport, this prestigious event brought together local and international industry leaders to honour those setting global benchmarks.

We were pleased to be named the Aviation Institution of the Year, a title we successfully defended in 2017, solidifying our position as West Africa’s premier training hub.

Celebrating a Decade of Excellence

ITTI 10th Anniversary

In 2017, the International Travel & Tourism Institute (ITTI) marked a significant milestone — 10 years of excellence in aviation, hospitality, tourism, and customer service training. Since its launch in July 2007, ITTI has grown into a recognised centre for professional development, equipping individuals with the skills and confidence to succeed in global service industries.

The anniversary celebration brought together alumni, current students, industry partners, consultants, and staff for an open day filled with networking, career guidance, and shared reflections on our journey. Over the past decade, ITTI’s award-winning programmes have produced industry professionals flourishing in airline, hotel, and customer-service roles both in Ghana and internationally.

She also shared a powerful insight into the transformation she has seen in ITTI graduates:

Yes. ITTI is affiliated with reputable international bodies and partners within the aviation, tourism, and hospitality sectors. These affiliations help align our curricula with global standards and enhance the credibility of our certifications.

Our programmes are open to senior high school graduates, university students, working professionals, and anyone looking to build a career in aviation, tourism, hospitality, or customer service. No prior industry experience is required.

Programme durations vary depending on the certification type. Most courses run from 6 weeks to 6 months, with flexible schedules designed to accommodate both students and working professionals.

ITTI combines practical training, global standards, experienced faculty, and strong industry connections. We focus on professional development, customer service excellence, and hands-on learning — making ITTI one of Ghana’s trusted pathways into aviation, hospitality, and tourism careers.

ITTI provides structured career guidance, internship pathways, and industry exposure through its partnerships. While job placement is not guaranteed, our strong reputation and alumni network significantly improve students’ employment prospects.
